"I Loved You, But You Changed"

"I Loved You, But You Changed"

I loved you deep, I loved you true,
You were my world, my sky so blue.
Each heartbeat danced to just your name,
But now, my love, it's not the same.

You used to hold me, close and near,
I was your peace, your home, your cheer.
But now I see, I'm not that place—
You've turned away, without a trace.

I fought to stay, I tried to care,
But you looked through me—blank, not there.
I'm not your first, not even close,
Just someone fading like a ghost.

You shut me out, you changed the key,
You built a wall ‘tween you and me.
And though it breaks me, I now see:
You don’t want love, at least, not me.

So I surrender, heart in hand,
No more trying to understand.
You don’t want what I have to give,
And that’s no way for love to live.

I loved you once with all my soul,
But now I leave to keep me whole.
You let me go without a fight—
So this is me… walking into the night.
